It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a week since we last checked in. As you know, it was announced yesterday that the shelter in place was extended through the end of May. Sigh. We were hopeful that construction would reopen and our customers could get back to work, but unfortunately, it’s looking like that is not the case. They are planning to release more details later in the week and we will update you just as soon as we know more.
However, the good news is that for now, our business seems to have hit it’s low. Our sales have leveled out and we are feeling confident that things will eventually get better. But of course, everything is changing daily and we are closely monitoring just about everything there is to monitor!
I’d like to continue to thank everyone for their patience and flexibility during this time. I’ve received multiple compliments on how quickly Ashby has responded to this crisis and that even through all of the changes and uncertainty, our customer service levels have not only stayed high, but gotten even better. Our connection to our customers and community have shown through and it’s a privilege to be able to serve the community right now. I feel incredibly proud to be a part of a team that has exceeded all expectations and come together in crisis.
I know we’re not out of the woods yet, but I’m feeling optimistic about where we’re heading. One thing I do know is that when we’re allowed, we will get together to celebrate getting through this together!
